Our plan for the day was to head to Pompeii, Italy on a bus and tour the sites - but unfortunately, our bus left without us! Oh Rome! So we decided to hit The Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, and The Pantheon instead!
The Trevi Fountain (Italian: Fontana di Trevi) is a fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci.

So there is a legend that claims a person should throw three coins into The Trevi Fountain.
*The first coin guarantees your return to Rome,
*The second will ensure a new romance,
*And the third will ensure marriage....
I threw in twelve! haha

So - when looking at the below images of the Trevi Fountain - focus on the far right top window - this window is actually bricked up due to a haunting! If you look *really* carefully to the top right of the surrounding windows, note there that there is a window impostor! Stories say that there was a woman who jumped to her death from the window and her ghost stuck around, and continually scared the tourist and locals.
Therefore, in a beautiful act of kindness, Rome bricked up the window and painted on a false window. No one is quite sure about the specifics, but the essence of the story is that it was a tragic love story involving Popes, and their children (of course!).

The Spanish Steps are a stairway of 135 steps that was built in 1723–1725, linking the Bourbon Spanish Embassy, and the Trinità dei Monti church. The stairway was designed by architects Francesco de Sanctis and Alessandro Specchi.

Next, it was off to the amazing Pantheon! The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church. The building was completed by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated about 126 AD. This was a common practice - converting temples into churches.

After our stroll around the city, when headed back to our hotel, and decided to take a bit of a rest for the evening - our plans? To go watch Thor Ragnarok (in English! haha).
At Cinema Multisala Barberini - we snagged a quick dinner (honestly not one bad meal on the whole trip!) and then headed over to the theater.
*Ps: Thor Ragnarok was SOOOOOO GOOD!
